Le Château de Pemfrat

From mid-March to November 1st, discover this charming guesthouse in Gouesnach. Patrick welcomes you with genuine warmth and simplicity for your stays as a couple or family, surrounded by the luxury of nature. You will stay in a former hunting lodge, built by the architect Joseph Bigot in 1859. The château was converted into a permanent residence in 1989 by Patrick. He renovated it in 2011: Château de Penfrat then became a beautiful guesthouse. In a friendly atmosphere, appreciate the Art Nouveau and Art Deco décor as well as the beautiful spaces of the house. Among them is a guest lounge adorned with numerous books and paintings. Also enjoy the garden and park, which extend over 60 hectares along the river.

Un hébergement magnifique - dans un ancien pavillon de chasse que le propriétaire, Patrick, a transformé en un charmant et enchanteur chambre d'hôte. Entouré de forêt, rivière, prairies et une nature splendide. Nous avons eu la chance de recevoir un surclassement gratuit vers la suite et avons vraiment vécu comme des "princes". Petit-déjeuner excellent, tout était parfait. Une recommandation absolue, et tout cela à un prix plus que raisonnable. Le château est situé tout près de Quimper, mais on se sent pourtant loin de toute l’agitation de la vie urbaine.

Le Château de Penfrat est véritablement « une évasion au château ». Dans un cadre charmant au bord de la rivière. Les logements sont confortables et les hôtes sont très serviables. Beaux jardins et chambres à explorer ou simplement se détendre. Les chiens sont adorables ! Proche de Quimper.

Nous avons été ravis par notre séjour en famille au château Penfrat. Tout d'abord, nous avons été enchantés par la rencontre de Patrick pour qui l'accueil et la rencontre de ses hôtes est une véritable vocation. Nous avons vraiment eu la sensation d'arriver dans une maison de famille, et nos enfants ont adoré Fiérot, le chien de la maison. Les petits déjeuners étaient parfaits. Si l'on rajoute à cela la présence d'une grande bibliothèque accessible aux hôtes, et aux conseils judicieux de Patrick pour accéder aux meilleurs restaurants du coin, on aura compris que cette chambre d'hôte est un immense coup de coeur.

Comfortable accommodations

Our establishment offers five accommodations, halfway between Quimper and the beautiful beaches of Bénodet and Sainte-Marine. You can stay here alone, as a couple, with friends, or as a family. Check-in is between 4 pm and 7 pm. Please feel free to contact us: upon request and subject to availability, we can accommodate you earlier. Check-out is by 12 pm.

The garden and the property

At Château de Penfrat, you will stay in the heart of an 80-hectare estate. It comprises a landscaped garden and a park surrounding the property. You will be able to enjoy breathtaking views. To relax and take in the surroundings, garden furniture and a pontoon on the river are at your disposal.

Breakfast

A varied and complete breakfast awaits you every morning. Served in the garden, it will add a touch of sweetness to the already enchanting atmosphere thanks to the scent of roses and the sound of birdsong.

On the menu, you'll find a wide variety of products: hot drinks, seasonal fruits, local yogurts, baguettes, croissants, homemade jams, as well as boiled eggs and Breton cake!
